Lifestyle maternity photography captures the beauty and intimacy of your everyday life during pregnancy. It focuses on natural, candid, and unposed moments that showcase the joy and excitement of pregnancy. I focus on interactions and emotions rather than perfect poses. Don't get me wrong, I don't just leave you hanging! I'll be there to guide you through the session but movement and laughter are key throughout the session.
Traditional maternity photography (most often times studio) is often posed, with the focus on showcasing the baby bump. Lifestyle maternity photography, on the other hand, captures the natural and candid moments of your everyday life during pregnancy. That beautiful baby bump is still the focus but more through organic interactions between you, your spouse and family, showcasing the joy and excitement of the journey to motherhood.
This is your moment to shine! It can take place anywhere that is meaningful and special to you. It can be in your home, outdoors, or any other location that you feel comfortable and relaxed in or a combination of any of those locations. If you want to start indoors for a more intimate feel and then head outside for that golden light, we can do that too!
The best time to schedule a lifestyle maternity photography session is when you are ready. Each pregnancy is different and those baby bumps grow at their own rate. I usually recommend between 27-30 weeks into your pregnancy, just because this is a time when the bump is most visible without you feeling too miserable. But if you feel comfortable earlier or later, it is still absolutely possible!
You should wear clothing that you feel comfortable and confident in, and that reflects your personal style. It's best to choose clothing that is form-fitting and shows off your baby bump. I can help you through the entire "What to Wear" process to get you looking your best.
Yes, absolutely! Including your partner and other children in the session can make it even more special and meaningful.
Depending on what you are looking for and who will be in the photoshoot, sessions typically last between 30 min to 90 min. I have two collections to choose from and I can help you determine which is best for you.
Yes, all of my maternity photography collections include digital copies of your maternity pictures, so you can share with family and print them as you wish.
You can book your maternity shoot by contacting me through my website : Inquiry Page
I'll work with you to schedule a date, time and location that works best for you.
Ready to have fun? Expect to love your time in front of the camera. I know it's not easy, but I'll be here to help you forget that we're taking pictures until you start loving being that beautiful maternity model as I capture plenty of candid moments. My goal is to create a comfortable and stress-free atmosphere, so you can feel confident and beautiful in front of the camera.
Your family photos are important! I want to be able to take my time and make sure everything is exactly how you want it. A photo session can go anywhere from 30 min to 90 min. The time it takes for me to capture every little moment.
Yes and no!
I will organize mini sessions during the year but offer them up to my clients and client referrals. It takes time to get to know every family and mini sessions alone do not give me the time to get to know every family the way I would like. So to be able to have more time with each individual family, these services are for families I already know or their close friends on a referral basis.
I promise I do so much more than just point and shoot!
I like to take time to get to know you before our photoshoot together, so, we can chat on the phone, zoom or in person over a cup of coffee to get everything squared away. I offer up a limited amount of photo sessions per month to be able to be free to be able to be there for every question you might have pre-shoot!
Then there's the session ;) My time to get to you for the session and the shoot itself
After the photo session, I choose and edit your pictures to create your family's story and an online gallery is created with 50+ edited images for you to be able to share your pictures with friends and family. You will also have access to an online store to buy prints or other products to show your beautiful photos in your home.
Isn't that the everlasting question! I wake up everyday and ask myself the same exact thing!
These are YOUR portraits! I want you to feel comfortable in your style!
I try and recommend to stay as simple as possible! Fashion changes (as we have all seen with the past decades!), so staying simple can help not to have your pictures be outdated by next year! For maternity shoots, just remember that we want to showcase that beautiful baby bump, so snug around the belly is always best!
But no worries! I am here to help you guys out. Let me know if you need help choosing, I have a Pinterest board that can help you get inspired
Absolutely ... but that's a whole other story! If you would like to know more, you can go take a glimpse at my website: www.mademoiselleboudoir.photo
Sorry! Nope!
Part of my job is telling your story and delivering a beautiful gallery of pictures for you to enjoy!
My editing is part of my entire process! You chose me because you liked what I do. Raw images are flat and lifeless... my editing is part of the process to get you beautiful pictures.
You wouldn't walk in the the bakery and ask for dough right... It's the same for photographers... no raw images :)
Haha! Sorry!
You are who you are and I'm not here to change that!
Obviously for minor changes (blemishes, rash, scratched knees...) yes, i get rid of that for you. But I can't make you lose or gain 30lbs or change your husband into Thor :)
I keep your pictures for 2 years (1 year in your online gallery). I have your pictures backed up but IT is IT and anything can happen. For this reason, I recommend you download and back-up your pictures right away. Printing helps in case your computer dies and you lose your digitals! I can't guarantee that if you lose your pictures I will still have them stored.
Welcome to Florida folks!
For in-home sessions, rain? No problem! Unless it's like the thunderstorm of the year where there is no light in sight! In that case, we reschedule!
Outdoor sessions; we can reschedule no problem! We'll obviously be in cahoots throughout the day to make sure that we don't reschedule for nothing! We all know that the heaven's can come falling from the sky only to have an amazing sunset right after! So, a little patience to make sure the session is dead... like really dead, before we reschedule :)
And for you vacationers, I understand that you guys are on a super tight schedule! Same as our Florida residents, we will work it out! I will make sure I make some time to get those pictures done and try and rearrange my schedule for you.
I usually get your gallery up anywhere from 10-15 days after the shoot
As soon as you can! There are months that are extremely busy and if you have a set date in mind, you might want to book as early as you can (you are able to book 3 months in advance and no less than 7 days before) to be able to get the day you want! Remember, I limit the number of sessions I take in a month :)
They never do! They're kids!
That's the great part of lifestyle photography! We're not tied to a 3 sqft screen where everyone needs to stay perfectly still!
NO WORRIES! I know how to run after kids! As long as you stay calm and keep smiling, I will get great pictures of you all.
In the off chance that your bundle of joy acts like he/she should be in the exorcist, I'll make the call to try and do the session another day! This has only happened once in my 8 years as a photographer!
I'm here to tell your story... no need to change! We also have about an hour to get everything done, so let's keep it simple!
However, if you want to layer or bring accessories, I am all about that!
For multiple locations, the time it takes to get comfortable in front of the camera just to have to stop, get in the car and start over... blah! You're not going to love the experience! Let's choose an amazing spot and stick with it!
But if multiple locations and wardrobe changes are what you want, there are add on's to make your experience the way YOU want it!
Visual Storytelling! I want to capture authentic moments, real-life situations with the pictures I take. Yes, you will have some great family shots where everyone is looking at the camera, but you will also have amazing shots of situations that didn't go to plan! That's what I love! That's what I aim for! I look for emotion, the feelings that you share with the world when you look at each other or hold each other!
So let go of that ideal of perfection and just be you! It's the best you there is!
Wherever you want!
I can shoot in the comfort of your own home, outdoors in a park, downtown...
My session fee covers the orlando area, but if you need me to go further no problem! Just reach out to me so we can set that up. There is a small fee for the extra miles :)
I did! 8 years of wonderful weddings. I met a ton of amazing people and partied it up with the bridal parties, but now I'm dedicated to my families and their ongoing stories.
That being said, I do still do destination weddings and small intimate gatherings. Reach out to me and tell me your story to see if we can make things work!
This is real life people! Not a Martha Stewart Magazine!
I know we always want our house to look like a model home, but let's face it... with kids in the mix, that's nearly impossible!
Just try and get anything you wouldn't want in your pictures out of sight... dirty (or clean) laundry, random clutter, nightstands cleared of tissues and/or bottles.... For the rest, these are real life pictures, your life. So don't get all stressed out and go on a cleaning frenzy! You'll be just fine!
Well, finding that "best" photographer is completely subjective. It's completely different for each family... and the possibilities are endless. There are multiple things to consider before making your choice. While pricing often plays an important role in the decision process, it shouldn't be the only factor in choosing your "best" family photographer.
- First, know what style you are looking for. Explore photographer's websites and Instagrams to get a feel for what you love!
- Determine your budget! Although well establised family photographers will all be around the same price, some are just getting started and offer sessions for a lot less to build their portfolio. If you are on a budget, there are those options for you. Check to see what each photographer includes in their packages (limited or unlimited digital) to get a better idea of what it will cost you and compare to what you are willing to spend for your photoshoot.
- Know what you are getting! Instagram will show you a couple of pictures from a session (probably the best ones), ask to see a full gallery to determine if what they offer is what you are - looking for (emotion, editing style, light..)
- Talk to the photographer and ask questions to see if they are a good fit for you!
Depending on what collection you choose or decide to add on... anywhere!
My collection 1 is for the Winter Garden / Windermere area whereas my collection 2 is for the greater Orlando area (Celebration, Clermont, Winter Park, Orlando). I have a Location add-on also that let's you be a little more free in the choice of your location. So if you want a beach session at Cocoa Beach, that is totally possible also.
I love discovering new areas for each session, but I have come across a couple of great locations for my outdoor family photoshoots!
Celebration has a mix of locations all close together. We can get that town/city vibe but then find a little square lined with beautiful trees to capture a beautiful family session.
Winter Garden is an amazing Urban feel for those families who don't want to trek through the florida nature! It's a great option also for mid-day shoots because we get some shade from the buildings.
Clermont: home to Lake Louisa State park has beautiful fields, nature trails and a beach that allows for a couple different looks in one area. This place is super popular among family photographers so don't be surprised to see other photographers at the same time :)
Winter Park also has that urban feel all while keeping nature a big part of the scenery. There are different parks around Winter Park and downtown that are also great for photoshoots (Leu Gardens... $15 entrance fee, Mead Gardens, Azalea Park, Baldwin Park, Rollins College... the choices are endless)
Winderemere and it's oak trees and neverending lakes with that small town feel is just super beautiful as well. Perfect for those half sessions, we'll find a perfectly beautiful spot for your family photos
There are choices also for indoor shoots. First and foremost, your home! A great place for everyone to feel comfortable and capture your family just the way you are. Other indoor options are natural light studios like the Brand Studio in Longwood. There is a fee to rent out the studio but it is a great option for small families and newborn sessions.
